Welcome to the Ankeny Area Quilter's Guild The AAQG is a non-profit organization open to all with an appreciation for quilting. Our goal is to developing and encourage the art of quilting through community, education and philanthropy. We thrive on supporting local organizations by donating quilts to those in need. Join us at our meetings the 2nd Tuesday of each month, featuring locally and nationally-known speakers, and an opportunity to meet and enjoy the work of other area quilters.We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church, Uptown, 206 SW Walnut St., Ankeny, IowaYearly membership (Jan. 1st to Dec.) $45.00 includes all monthly meetings + Non-members are welcome to attend our monthly meeting admission $10 for each meeting. |

Please sign up for one or both. They will be interesting new techniques. #1 Workshop Tuesday April 14th, 2026 with Jennifer Halbur with GE Designs. Making Flying Geese Table Runner or Topper. Using Stripology rulers. Class is $30.00 member. $55.00 non-Member. Supplies needed: 7 - 10 inch squares – if you have yardage she will help you cut them out, 1 yard of background fabric, 1/3 yard binding. “Master Your Stripology Ruler” book – you can purchase from Jennifer the day of the class for $22.95. Basic sewing supplies and a rotary cutter with a sharp blade. Bring your Stripology Rulers if you have any. Max in class 25 people. Class begins at 1:00. Bring your machine and supplies to get set up starting at 12:30. Circle if attending YES or NO #2 Workshop Tuesday October 13th, 2026 with Linda Everhart with Quilting Among Friends. Making a reverse applique Enchanted Emerald Isle Table Runner. Class is $40.00 member. $65.00 non-Member. Supplies needed: 1 yard Dark Batik and 1 yard Light Batik. Pattern will be $12.00 payable to Linda Everhart day of workshop. Need seam ripper - Havels Seam Ripper recommended. Max in class 20 people. Class begins at 1:00. Jennifer Halbur has been a quilter for many years. She started sewing when she was able to reach the sewing pedal and switched to all quilting about 25 years ago. She loves the challenge of matching fabric to a pattern and creating a beautiful quilt to give someone comfort. She has made upwards of Social time 6:30, Meeting starts at 7:00. FUTURE MEETINGS

Learn and Share Quilting knowledge Our quilt guild offers the opportunity to learn quilting technique, interact with quilting experts, and hands on learning. Sharing Our guild encourages members and visitors to interact and meet new friends by offering dedicated time to socialize. Attendees are also encouraged to share their knowledge and bring their completed projects to share during Show and Tell. Community Support Our guild is actively supporting our community by generously making quilts for those in need. Hundreds of quilts are made each year to wrap our community in love. | Want to join us?
